Jeff Horn Beats Manny Pacquiao To Win WBO Welterweight Title

Newcomer Jeff Horn stunned the world of boxing by defeating Manny Pacquiao on points and take the WBO Welterweight title in a bloodbath in Australia.

In a hugely controversial decision, the judges awarded Horn the fight by scores of 117-111, 115-113 and 115-113, even though he came off second-best by almost every measure in front of 50,000 in Brisbane's Lang Park on Sunday.

Horn landed just 15 per cent of his shots compared to Manny's 32 per cent, a total of 92 compared to 182.
It was the first time Pacquiao had been in the ring since defeating Jessie Vargas last November to reclaim the title for the third time in his glittering career.

His opponent Horn, a schoolteacher known as "The Hornet", was a relatively unknown compared to the 38-year-old World Champion.
